Power Play Magazine reviews Tic Toc

Another great review in from Power play magazine this time. We’re beginning to believe the U.K. is getting the picture and we’re loving the attention. So what does Power Play say about D2UR: ‘Well they’re a pretty damn good rock n’ roll band”. Lot’s of positive comments about Diane’s vocals comparing her to Sheryl Crow and Chrissie Hyde – not bad company for a Winnipeg girl. Check it out!

Bring in the Heavy Hitter – Fitzy

A BIG thanks to our friend Brent Fitz who made his way back home to drum with us for our CD Release Party. Brent went out of his way to find time in his hectic touring schedule to make it home for this event. It was fantastic having you drum on all 11 songs on the ‘Tic Toc’ album, and so sweet to have you behind the kit conducting us on stage. Cheers Brent!

Fireworks Magazine reviews ‘Tic Toc”

Fireworks magazine in the UK have provided an overwhelming positive review of ‘Tic Toc’ in their fall 2017 issue. Mark Donnelley provided the review for the magazine basically endorsing it and urging readers to ‘get Tic Toc’. Wow, such fantastic feedback and reassurance for all the hard work that went into the album.

‘Tic Toc’ CD Release Party

The Tic Toc CD release party was by all accounts a roaring success as D2UR played to a sell-out crowd of 500 people at the World Famous Palamino Club in Winnipeg. Maning the kit for D2UR was no other than Brent Fitz (Slash, Alice Cooper, Gene Simmonds Band, etc). D2UR were introduced by the iconic Howard Mandshein from 92 CITI FM in Winnipeg to kick off the show which began with a 9 song set of songs from the Rev U Up album and ended with a blistering set of full songs from the newly released ‘Tic Toc’ album. Look for a new single release from the album in the coming weeks. Cheers!

Losing Control makes CJIM Montreal’s indie rock countdown

CJIM

D2UR’s Losing Control finished 2016 with a bang, placing 15th in CJIM Montreal’s rock station top 20 indie rock song countdown, which aired on New Years Day. Good news indeed for the lead single off the groups newly completed album.

Album completion update

Work on the album is nearing completion. Brent Fitz managed to get back to Winnipeg and we were fortunate he was able to complete fantastic drum tracks for the final 4 songs on the album. We love you Brent! After a much needed break in late winter, we sat down and rattled off the final songs in a flurry. After much consideration, we felt that we needed to add some additional heavy material to the album rather than going back into the vault. “Here Comes Trouble” takes us to a darker place and is new ground for D2UR and our fans. “Run Devil Run” is a full tilt rocker but on the heavier side and “St Augustine has a great groove that’ll make you get out of your seat and scuff up your shoes. “Who Sent You Here” has soul but rocks with the driving rhythm guitars and punk solo. Summer is coming to and end friends, so stay warm and stay tuned for further posts on our progress. Cheers!BF clinic

Losing Control

It feels really good to announce the release of our new single ” Losing Control” from our soon to be released album “Tic Toc”. What more can you ask for in a hairy rock song…..great vocals, driving bass and drums, and of course a kick ass crazy solo. Check it out here on our site or take the link to iTunes. We’d love to hear your feedback as always. Stay well, peace.

D2UR for Brent Fitz

Fitz01Special thanks to Brent Fitz for his stellar drumming on part of our new album. We’ve been fortunate to have Brent work with us on the first 7 songs thus far. We know you’re going to like what we’ve got cooking!
